“What you are getting today is to support Governor Fayemi’s attempt to make life comfortable for our people and banish poverty out of our land.

“This is to also appreciate you for standing firm by me for the past two years and since I began my political career. I want to assure you that I will never abandon you. I won’t cease in my avowed plans to be attracting projects that can benefit all of us to this constituency.

“What we are distributing today is about N3.5 million, which is from my personal purse to take care of my people. These goods and food items worths a sum of N2.5m with a cash gift of about a million naira,” he said.

Aribasoye lamented the persistent kidnapping and killing of people in the constituency in recent time and stressed the need for the people to partner government and security agencies to tackle the menace.

He eulogised local hunters in the constituency for their roles and for having been working relentlessly, in concert with security agencies, to curb cases of abduction in the constituency.

“If you have observed of recent, you will realise that we had recorded various sordid scenarios of people being kidnapped and made to pay ransoms before being let off the hook.

“These pathetic incidences had been witnessed at Iyemero, Itapaji, Ipao, Oke Ako, and even along Ayedun-Omuo Road.

“As much as I appreciate the laudable roles being played by our traditional rulers, who had organised local hunters into a formidable force to work with security agencies to mitigate these unwarranted attacks, I want us to reinforce this partnership, so that we can permanently tame these rampaging kidnappers who are terrorising us on daily basis,” he said.

Aribasoye appealed to the people to keep faith with Governor Fayemi and the ruling APC in respect of the forthcoming governorship primary of the party and the eventual election, scheduled to hold in the state on 18 June, 2022.

The lawmaker also solicited support for the aspiration and actualisation of the governorship ambition of the immediate past Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Honourable Biodun Oyebanji.

“You all know that Honourable Biodun Oyebanji has been going round canvassing support for his governorship ambition. I want you to support him in the interest of all of us.

“The continuity agenda of Governor Kayode Fayemi is crucial to the sustenance of democracy dividends to our people.

“You all know how well Hovernor Fayemi has done in road construction, empowerment to women and youth, agriculture revolution, regular payment of salaries and pensions, tourism development among others. If you want this to continue, give the APC ticket to Hon Oyebanji and also vote for him on 18 June, 2022.

“Among all the aspirants that we parade, he is the most experienced, trustworthy, humble and accessible. He can be trusted with power and someone like him coming on board will automatically up the game for the radical turnaround of Ekiti economy, politics and progress in all spheres,” Aribasoye added.
